4.3.1 公共資源(終身學習)
Public resources (lifelong learning)

為響應教育部提倡終身學習政策，建立多元化與彈性化之高等教育體系，強化高等教育體系在職進修服務功能，本校於民國86年成立「推廣教育處」(107年8月升格為創新產業學院)，構建在職進修教育管道，提供給不同年齡層的學習機會，獲得新知與相關技能。隨社會變遷，本處服務亦應隨之更替，以學校現有資源，提供各類型教育班次，服務廠商回饋社會，促進個人成長與社會進步。

In response to the Ministry of Education's policy of promoting lifelong learning, establishing a diversified and flexible higher education system, and strengthening the function of the higher education system's on-the-job education services, the University established the Division of Extension Education in 1997 (upgraded to the College of Innovative Industries in August, 2018) to build a pipeline of on-the-job education and provide learning opportunities for different age groups to acquire new knowledge and related skills. With the change of society, the services of this office should also change accordingly. With the existing resources of the school, we provide various types of education classes to serve manufacturers and contribute to the society, promote personal growth and social progress.

在設施方面，藝文中心的展覽廳，及圖書館的閱覽室是有對外開放使用的。在課程方面，本校設有磨課師(MOOCS)，是完全免費的線上課程，目前主要供新生在暑假期間修習，學生若順利研修完畢且符合成績標準後，會取得一張「課程修課證明書」，等到正式開學，可以至註冊組辦理學分的抵免。並結合本校各系所教學資源，開辦碩士學分班、學士學分班，提供社會大眾多元進修管道。

Regarding facilities, the exhibition hall at the Arts and Culture Center and the reading room at the library are open to the general public. CHU also provides the MOOCs free courses online to just-recruited first-year students during the summer vacation. Students can obtain a certificate if they take courses and meet all the requirements. Then, after the new school year starts, they can go to the Registration Division to waive the related credits. And combining the teaching resources of various departments, the university offers master's degree and bachelor's degree programs to provide diversified channels of study for the public.
